Are You Lucky? by Marie T. Russell

"He's so lucky!" "She always wins!" "I'm just not lucky!" Do these statements sound familiar? Have they come out of your mouth at times? Do you believe that luck is something that happens to some and not to others? That some people "have it" and others don't?

What is luck? Webster's Dictionary tells us that luck is: "the seemingly chance happening of events which affect one." So luck is not haphazard -- it is a "seemingly" chance happening of events.

We are aware, metaphysically, that we draw to us those people and events that we are really meant to have in our lives. This may appear to be bad luck as in the case of an injury. Yet we attracted those circumstances for the lesson (gift) they brought. The same goes for good luck. We were willing to believe and open to receive so "good luck" came to us.

Life is what we make it and so is luck! If you are willing to believe, really believe in miracles, then they will take place in your life. The Master Teacher Jesus said, "By your faith, ye shall be healed!" The belief comes first, then the event (miracle or luck) comes after.

So I would suggest that you can choose to believe in luck but not in the fact that it falls indiscriminately where it chooses. It comes to those who are willing to have miracles in their lives. The doubting Thomases have a billboard out in the ethers that says "Detour". The "Luck" may be headed their way, but is detoured because of lack of faith and trust.

To believe in luck you must believe in your own "deservability". You must be willing to experience miracles and to have "unexplainable" happenings in your life. If you constantly are looking for the rational, logical explanation for events, there will be no room for "lucky" miracles in your life. As someone said: Expect a miracle -- make miracles happen.

How does one make miracles happen? By demanding them, that's how. Many times we put in our requests to the Universe/God/Goddess as if we were beggars. We ask pleadingly, not really believing that we either deserve or will receive what it is we ask for. We think the odds are against us. And for that very reason we may not get what we ask for.

I've found that when I demanded something from the Universe, almost commanded as a matter of fact, I always got what I wanted. I recall that in the Bible, Jesus commanded the waters to be calm. He didn't say, please would you, if it's ok with you, if it's no bother. He commanded! And he had no doubt that his desire would be fulfilled.

A friend told me of her experience. The rain was coming down almost in a deluge one day as she needed to go out to an appointment. As she didn't want to get wet, she stood inside watching the rain, wondering when it would stop. Then she felt that she would make it stop. And she loudly commanded the rain to stop. And lo and behold, it did instantaneously.

Have we ever demanded from the Universe what we wanted? How many times have we said, I want this and I want it NOW! Perhaps we need to get out of the pleading helpless infant mode, and really request we want -- not in a begging or manipulative manner, but clearly, and with intent, command the Universe to give us what we ask for.

I remember on one occasion doing that very thing. I was tired of going from relationship to relationship -- six months here, one year there -- and not finding the "love of my life". One evening as I was getting ready to go to a friend's birthday party, I realized I was tired of searching for Mr. Right. I found myself telling God that I'd had enough; that if I was meant to have a relationship, the "man of my dreams" better be at the party. Well... Sure enough, I met a man at that party who later became my husband.

We have been told, "Ask for what you want." Yet at times we have not asked, or we asked not believing that we would receive. It is as important to ask as to believe. And it is important to ask clearly, knowing that we deserve to receive the best. You can even say: "I ask for this or something better." Then trust, don't hope, that it will come. Hope still denotes lack of trust... I hope this will happen. Instead of: I'm sure, I trust. You see the difference?

Another issue is one of deservability. Sometimes we do not believe we truly deserve blessings, love, riches, whatever... After all, we recall some of the times we were "bad" and because of our ingrained belief in a punishing and avenging God, we don't really believe that we deserve what we are asking for. We must reprogram ourselves with deservability: "I am worthy!" "I deserve the best." " I deserve love."

The other day, as I thanked someone for something they had done, their reply was "You're welcome, and you are worthy!" That stopped me in my tracks as I realized that for many of us, receiving is an issue... whether it is about receiving a gift, a favor, a compliment. Someone says "You did great!" and we tend to brush it off "It was nothing." Sound familiar?

In order to receive, to be "lucky", we have to know that we are worthy! Remember, you are a "child of God", a child of the Universe, a divine creation. Of course you are worthy of all the blessings that exist on this planet. You are worthy! You deserve the best... even if you are not a perfect angel. No one is perfect! Perfection has nothing to do with deserving goodness in your life.

Be willing to trust that there is a Divine Purpose and Divine Consciousness that is greater than what you can envision. Be willing to say YES to life, to love, and to miracles -- and then you'll be one of the "Lucky" ones, too! Remember, your luck is what you make it!

God's will is mine

I had to share this article. I felt it was very empowering...especially to BE living the will of God and not from fear.

God's Will Is Mine! by John Randolph Price

The phrase "thy will be done" in the Lord's Prayer is a statement of resignation for many, the calling down of a power to do something that may not be what we had in mind. It's as though we're saying, "Since I can't have what I want in life, I guess I'll have to settle for what God wants." And in some cases, there's a little tinge of fear there. After all, we were brought up to believe that God punishes us for our sins, and that the will of God must contain some form of suffering and sacrifice for us. No wonder so many people live in a state of apprehension, futility, and fatalism.

And there's the opposite side of the coin. We've been told to be careful what we pray for because we might get it. In other words, "My will be done." A Course In Miracles states it this way:

The very fact that the Will of God, which is what you are, is perceived as fearful, demonstrates that you are afraid of what you are. It is not, then, the Will of God of which you are afraid, but yours.... You do not ask only for what you want. This is because you are afraid you might receive it, and you would.

But now we see that there is only one will, and how could it be otherwise? The whole universe of Cosmic Being individualized its consciousness as the Selfhood of each one of us, and nothing was left out of the individualizing process. We are the will of God. "I and God are one; all that God is, I am."

This lesson helped me understand that the burning desires of my heart born of love represented the one common will pushing on my consciousness to express. God's will is peace and joy, radiant wholeness and well-being, creative success and abundant prosperity, right relations and harmony. Is that not our will, too? There is only one will.

As I was writing my interpretation of this lesson, I received the Quarterly Letter written for subscribers by my good friend, author and spiritual teacher Walter Starcke. Here is an excerpted portion from a section titled "On Demand Prayer":

There comes a time when after days of struggling to turn things over to our Higher Consciousness, after releasing all judgment, after forgiving everyone and everything involved, if the roadblock has not been removed, the time has come for us to demand that it be. If we really believe we are one with God, then always waiting on God, always being patient, always turning it over to God, as though we have no say in the matter, has to eventually come to an end. Passivity can be a form of doubt. Demand affirms oneness.

There comes a time when petitionary prayer is a denial of our claim to be One with God. Petitionary prayer always has an intimation of fear, always remains an acknowledgment of duality. At one point, petitionary payer can be like programming the computer, but to get results the computer has to be turned on by demand.

Certainly, if you are operating out of ego, and if you have not exhausted all other means, the condition has not been met for your will to be on demand. But there comes a time when you must affirm your union by demanding that a situation break, a healing take place, or clarification become present.

Love, and then, demand. Love God by affirming that God is the only power, and then demand that that power, that omnipotence, be done because of your joint partnership, because you are taking responsibility for being a co-creator with God.

Your prayer should not be "thy will be done," as though there is a question or doubt, as though something apart from yourself has to be called upon. It should be, "Thy will is done, because I affirm, because I demand it."

Let's realize the importance of the Code in this particular step. I am as Jesus. He said in John 11:41-42, just before the raising of Lazarus, "Father, I thank thee that thou has heard me. And I know that thou hearest me always. . . ." This was the recognition of the oneness of Spirit and soul, the one Mind and the single will, knowing that even before the call was made, the answer, the power, was given. Thy will is done because I call it forth. And the call here was that Lazarus be raised from the dead.

While we may not have accomplished such miracles yet, I'm sure that we can look back on our lives at those times when we spoke the word, that divine order be established or that a road block be removed. We were not asking God to do something that wasn't already being done. No, we were taking an action that caused a shift in our consciousness, which put us back into alignment with the one will.

I recall a time back in the 1970s when everything seemed to be in a tangled mess, and I sent forth the call to be freed from it. This demand broke the ego-grip, and the answer came quickly as an opportunity presented itself to move to another city and take an executive position with a new firm, which in time led to the forming of The Quartus Foundation and the writing of my first book, The Superbeings. The one will-in-action brought harmony out of chaos. "Thou shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee, and the light shall shine upon thy ways." (Job 22:28 )

Jesus asked, "What do you want me to do for you?" (Mk. 10:51) In the interplay between him and the blind man, can we see the same thing happening between our consciousness and the Divine Self within? What do you will?' Decree that all blocks in consciousness be removed, and then go forth as the will of God to heal, multiply provisions, and bring everything in life up to the divine standard. Be as Jesus!

"When the light comes and you have said, 'God's will is mine,' you will see such beauty that you will know it is not of you. Out of your joy you will create beauty in His name, for your joy could no more be contained than His."


A Spiritual Treatment Using the Power of Will

It is my will that every obstacle to a whole and complete life be removed.

If there is a false belief in scarcity, I decree that it be dissolved now.

If there is a lie made manifest as a physical malady, let Truth replace it now.

If an error pattern exists from judging others and is outpicturing as strained relationships, I demand that it be eliminated now.

If wrong thinking has resulted in failure, it is my will that all such thoughts be corrected now.

I am ready and willing to live a rich, whole, loving, and successful life, which is my divine birthright.

God's will is mine!

This insight goes to another level

Hello all...

This past Thursday I had a co-host on my show by the name of David Webber. All of my shows are at least very good, some are great, and few are very special.

Immediately after the show with David I thought it was a very good show, but over the weekend I realized it was actually a very special show. During the show we talked about "choice" or "choosing" to do something.

I was blown away by what this guy was saying, along with the insights I was receiving while I was listening to him. This weekend as I thought about it... it made sense.

If you can wrap your mind around this it will rock your world.

Hint: "Choice" or "choosing" is not necessary.

What do you bring to the table?

I don’t consider myself some kind of prophet that can see the future, but I will tell you that I know we can create our future in the present moment. My gut feeling is that we are as a global community transitioning into another paradigm or a different reality and far different from what it currently is.

The mindset or way of thinking that supposedly “worked” the last 30-50 years is no longer viable for today or tomorrow, or for any day coming.

If we sit idle and watch everyone else decide what are our new world is going to look like and even feel like, then those that do must also choose not to voice their displeasures about how they dislike what is going on in their lives in the new future, because the decision was made to “wait and see what happens” instead of making a conscious effort.

If you would like to be included in the process of what the new reality will look like, find out what your innate gifts, strengths, and talents are, because that is the value you will bring to this world.

By bringing and using your unique value you consciously add to the process or the shift we are all going through. This transition is going to happen whether you decide to BE a part of it or not.

This is your opportunity to stop recycling all the junk you may have going on in your Life!

Now is the opportunity to contribute to the collective consciousness to make a difference.

Come from your Heart without an agenda.

BE the Light that others desire to see.

Several years ago when I was beginning to awaken I had a great thirst to understand how man and the Universe co-existed. So I attended seminars, workshops, had mentors, and signed up for many, many ezines and newsletters.

At some point it became information overload but I didn’t decide to do something about it until the early part of 2006 when I was ready to finally let go of the fear of possibly missing some vital information.

One of the things I did was cut down the amount of newsletters I subscribed to going from about 20 to about 8 of them. I’ll be honest that was a difficult process. Of the remaining 8 there is about 4 that I am still currently subscribed to, one of them is Alan Tutt’s newsletter, he is part of the reason of where I am at today.

Alan continues to progress and move forward, and also has a thirst for understanding how things work in this Universe. It becomes almost natural for him to present fresh ideas to his List because of his thirst for knowledge and his willingness to share it with others.

After each show I send a survey to the co-host of the show so that I may get some insights regarding the show and for future shows. A co-host by the name of Gloria had suggested that I have a gentleman by the name of Santhan Naidoo who handled the “internet stuff” for her to co-host a show with me.

Emalani #4 of 7

A couple of years ago my wife and I were attending services that one of my mentors at the time was having, and during this one service we met Emalani. After speaking with her for a few minutes I soon realized how in tune or connected she was with Spirit.

Granted…whether we know it or not we are all connected to Spirit, but Emalani seemed to have a different connection than most. She seemed to be able to pick up on things that others didn’t sense.

About 2 ½ years ago I was guided to go to a spiritual association in San Diego and if I remember correctly it was the reopening of the church that was just completed. During the service there were several guests or speakers that stood up and spoke to the congregation about the reopening and what the church meant to them.

My wife and I went to a weekend seminar in San Diego a few months ago where the speakers were of a high level magnitude. Both my wife and I came home with a higher level of awareness. But the interesting thing about that weekend was there was gentleman in the back of the room who kept asking questions and sharing his insights.
